Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Des Peres, Missouri. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Per the owner, as of April 1, 2025, this project is in design. The owner states that construction will not occur until 2027, so they will not bid the project until the winter of 2026/2027. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............. Federal Aid No: STBG 5555(617) Des Peres Road Resurfacing and Pedestrian Improvements City/County: Des Peres DBE Goal Determination: 11% Location: Dougherty Ferry to Old Des Peres Road Length: 1.25 miles Proposed Improvements: Replace and widen sidewalk (4 to 5) along both sides of Des Peres Rd, including the filling of a current sidewalk gap (which will require utility relocation and a retaining wall). Replace curb ramps that have not previously been upgraded to PROWAG standards. Replace concrete curbs on both sides where needed. Add concrete curb south of Sugar Creek Park where the gravel shoulder frequently erodes due to traffic leaving the roadway Replace driveway aprons where needed due to sidewalk replacement. Remove and replace asphalt surface (approximately 3). Reinstall pavement striping, adding sharrows and share-the-road signage Install two new RRFB crossings with continental crosswalks Considering additional traffic-calming measures such as medians, narrowings, and striping of a climbing bike lane (no widening) Contact Name: Steve Meyer, P.E.
