Description: The City of Des Peres, Missouri, invites qualified planners or planning consultants to submit proposals for a comprehensive review and potential update of the existing Comprehensive Plan. The plan, last updated in 2015, needs evaluation to determine updates necessary for reflecting current and future suburban development strategies. This project encompasses reviewing the existing comprehensive plan, conducting socio-economic and land use analysis, and examining current transportation infrastructure. Initial tasks include: _ Reviewing and recommending updates for the existing plan. _ Analyzing current socio-economic characteristics and infrastructure. _ Hosting a visioning session with city officials to address community challenges and aspirations. _ Developing a community engagement strategy for public input. _ Identifying redevelopment opportunities within the Manchester Road corridor. _ Presenting draft and final plans to relevant city bodies. _ Reviewing and recommending updates to the zoning code aligned with the comprehensive plan.
