Site work and paving for a road / highway in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Chelmsford DPW - Highway Division is requesting bids from qualified Contractors. The work under this contract will include all equipment, labor, material, supplies, etc. necessary to furnish the work described in this contract for Hot Mix Asphalt Berm (Type 2-Cape Cod) for the time period of March 2024 - January 2025. All bids must conform to M.G.L. c. 30, . 39M. Quantities shown on bid sheets are approximate only and will be used for comparison of bids and to set amount of bid deposit. As a minimum, all work shall be performed in compliance with MassDOT-Highway Division Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, 1988 as amended. Any questions regarding this Bid should be addressed to Anthony Reppucci, Town Engineer by email: areppucci@chelmsfordma.gov responses to questions will be posted on the website: chelmsfordma.gov/112/Request-for-Bids as an Addenda no later than February 26, 2024. It is the responsibility of each bidder to check the town website periodically for any additional addenda. A bid bond of 5% payable to the Town of Chelmsford shall accompany each bid. This may be in the form of a certified check or bid bond. A Payment Bond and Performance Bond equal to 50% of the contract will be required from the successful bidder. There will not be a site visit for this Invitation to Bid. Bidders are encouraged to visit the locations listed in the bid ahead of preparing his/her bid.
