A. Provide proposal for complete refurbishment of existing air handling unit. Work indicated on documents is intended to provide a guide and overall equipment performance requirements. Submit a bid with the associated proposed scope of work, which may differ from that indicated on the documents. Submit a detailed description of the complete scope of work, including assumptions, exclusions, and any alternates. B. HVAC 1. Removal and replacement of internal components and casing sections associated with existing air handling unit. 2. Replacement of mechanical room piping, as required to accommodate replacement of air handling unit components. 3. Removal of all controls related to air handling unit. Replacement of controls within the existing Siemens control panel. Existing dual temperature and relief fan controls to remain. 4. Installation of temporary cooling unit, temporary cooling duct and piping connections, and temporary unit controls. C. Electrical 1. Circuiting and wiring for power to replacement air handling unit components. 2. Temporary circuiting and wiring to temporary cooling unit. Project Description West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Proposals ("RFP") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for the refurbishing of air handling unit ("AHU", "AHUs") Nos. 5 and 6 at the Creative Arts Center ("CAC"). AHUs 5 and 6 are approximately thirty thousand (30,000) cubic feet per minute ("CFM") units that heat and condition several thousand square feet across multiple floors in the CAC. The AHUs are suffering losses in efficiency, including temperature and humidity control, due to aged components. The CAC will continue to be occupied during construction.
