The Contractor shall be responsible for the physical care and maintenance of all turf areas and weed control in plant beds and hardscapes in the City' s Parks, Properties, and ROWs. This excludes ballfield maintenance at Hurley and Egan bail fields. Trash removal, general cleanup and fire ant control shall be included. Maintenance of shrubs and ornamentals shall not be included with the exceptions of any areas as noted. All areas are to be visited once every week, seven ( 7) days, year round. Turf shall be mowed once every seven ( 7) days beginning April 1s' through October 31st and once every fourteen ( 14) days, beginning the first full week of November through the last full week of March. The City reserves the right to increase and/ or decrease the number of mowings per area. The Contractor is expected to be completely knowledgeable in all aspects of turf management, including the ability to recognize and evaluate pathogenic and non- pathogenic damage to all turf. All contractors must hold all applicable state and county licenses. The work will be completed and ready for final inspection by August 31, 2022. This contract is a one ( 1) year contract and renewable on a one ( 1) year basis for a maximum of three ( 3) years of renewal, Question Deadline 03/13/2024 at 4:00 PM ET All questions pertaining to the terms and conditions or scope of work of this Request for Bid RFB) must be sent in writing ( e- mail is acceptable) Responses to questions may be handled as an Addendum if the response would provide clarification to the requirements of the RFB. All such Addenda shall become a part of the contract documents. If the work embraced by this Contract is not completed on or before the date set for completion or any extension thereof, the actual damages for the delay will be impossible to determine and in lieu thereof, the Contractor shall pay to the City fixed, agreed, and liquidated damages in the amount of either Five - Hundred Dollars ($ 500) per day for each calendar day of delay until the work is satisfactorily completed. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and/ or all bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request re -submission. If only one bid is received by the bid date and time listed, the bid may or may not be rejected by the City depending upon bid review and the needs of the City.
