The City of St. Pete Beach is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for Fire Prevention Inspection Services. This work includes all Fire Preventative Safety Inspections of all City locations for all Standpipe, Alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency/exit lighting, batteries on a annual inspection schedule. The City of St. Pete Beach intends to contract the services of an experienced, qualified Vendor to perform Fire Protection Inspection Services. This will include annual inspections of all building sprinkler systems, where applicable, all fire extinguishers (and 6 year recharge), fire alarms. The City of St. Pete Beach is soliciting bids from qualified Contractors for Fire Prevention Inspection Services Contact Person: John Taylor jtaylor@stpetebeach.org 727.363.9279 Question Deadline 04/17/2024 at 10:00 AM ET. No oral interpretations will be made to any firms as to the meaning of the scope of work or any other contract documents included in this RFB. All questions pertaining to the terms and conditions or scope of work of this Request for Bid (RFB) must be sent in writing (e-mail is acceptable) to the City Procurement Manager and shall be received. Responses to questions may be handled as an Addendum if the response would provide clarification to the requirements of the RFB. All such Addenda shall become a part of the contract documents. The City will not be responsible for any other explanation or interpretation of the proposed RFB made or given prior to the award of the contract. The City will not respond to questions received after the specified deadline. The City reserves the right to respond to any and all questions but is not required to do so. All Contractors must contact the City's Procurement Manager, in writing via e-mail (jtaylor@stpetebeach.org), with their intention to bid, along with their company name and contact information at least five (5) business days before the bid package is due. The City is not responsible for any Addendums or other supplementary information that is not received due to non-submittal of the aforementioned information. Please refer back to the city online for additional project information as it becomes available. The City reserves the right to decide whether to answer addendums or not. The City is not required to provide any additional information. Bid documents must include a signed/notarized Contractor's Bid Submittal, Fee Schedule, References, Contractor's license and insurance certificates, and Public Entity Criminal Affidavit. The Contractor shall submit one original, two (2) copies, and an electronic copy (on a USB flash drive) of their total bid documents with their sealed bid package as shown below under bid packages. Bids can be submitted electronically (if submitting electronically only one copy needs to be submitted). The work will be completed and ready for final inspection within three (3) years with two (2) 1 year extensions. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES If the work embraced by this Contract is not completed on or before the date set for completion or any extension thereof, the actual damages for the delay will be impossible to determine and in lieu thereof, the Contractor shall pay to the City fixed, agreed, and liquidated damages in the amount of either Five-Hundred Dollars ($500) per day for each calendar day of delay until the work is satisfactorily completed.
