Demolition, site work, paving, remodeling, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Harlan, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a 14,000-square-foot medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the remodel of a 2,300-square-foot medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; and for the renovation of a 3,340-square-foot medical facility.
The RHC expansion and renovation consists of a 14,000 addition to the east while the existing clinic renovation is approximately 3,340 square feet. The clinic addition will be a single story, slab-on-grade structure, with a finished floorelevation equivalent to the existing clinic ground floor elevation. Moderate to significant grading of the renovated site may be necessary to accommodate the building, parking lots, and vehicular access. Program needs are twenty-four (24) new Exam Rooms, two (2) new Procedure Rooms, and support spaces. A portion of the existing clinic will be renovated to allow for public circulation and support spaces which provide connectivity of the clinic addition to the main entrance of the hospital. The existing staff entrance at the south facade will be updated with a more prominent but modest entrance. The exterior vision of the proposed design is to complement the finishes recently provided in the Emergency Department. The outpatient remodel consists of reconfiguring the existing 1,500 SF cardiac rehab area and surgery waiting area into three exam rooms, storage, Provider dictation room and dedicated nurse's station. The inpatient room remodel consist of adding full bathrooms and updates to five patient rooms, approximately 1,800 SF. Responsiveness to the RFQ. Completeness of qualifications in responding to the information requested and in the designated format. Current and past experiences of the proposed firm and its identified personnel on projects of similar size, scope and complexity. Qualifications (including technical training and education) and relevant experience of the key personnel Ability of the firm in terms of its workload and the availability of qualified personnel, company resources, and facilities to perform the required services competently and expeditiously. This includes the availability of the key personnel to commence active engagement on the project. Demonstrated knowledge of the firm's ability to manage the project schedule and team activities in a timely manner The firm's understanding of the strategies to complete the project's objectives as completely and effectively as possible. Relevant project and client references and evidence of successfully executing similar projects for the firm and designated project personnel, including sub consultants, for projects of a similar nature The estimate of total project cost for this project is $12.1M to $13.1M. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
