The Village of Salem Lakes is requesting a Grass Cutting Services Proposal from grounds maintenance companies in order to evaluate, rank and select a firm or firms, for annual grass cutting services contract(s) at multiple properties in the Village of Salem Lakes. The following items have been identified as the general overall contract work scope (see also attached Exhibits): 1. PARK PROPERTIES Routine Weekly Tasks: Mowing/Trimming/Edging turf. 2. MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS & FACILITIES Routine Weekly Tasks: Mowing/Trimming/Edging turf. 3. ROADWAY MEDIANS, WETLAND SCRAPE & VALMAR CHANNEL Routine Weekly Tasks: Mowing/Trimming/Edging turf. The various properties in the Village have been geographically grouped into four contract work areas as follows: Contract A - 14 locations (18 Acres +/-) Contract B - 12 locations (26 Acres +/-) Contract C - 11 locations (20 Acres +/-) Contract D - 19 locations (21 Acres +/-) The Village of Salem Lakes has determined that the existing Village employee and equipment resources may not be sufficient to maintain various properties within the Village in a timely and efficient manner. Therefore, the Village of Salem Lakes desires to review contract service options for the maintenance of the properties as shown on the attached Exhibits. The Village of Salem Lakes believes that contracting for certain grounds maintenance services may be cost effective and provide efficiencies for Village government operations. Village review of Proposals received - March 2024 Service Contract Negotiations - March 2024 Contract(s) approval - March 2024 Contractors may submit proposals for one or more contract work areas. The Proposal submittal should also contain costs for all proposed grass cutting contract services.
