Field work on the project shall not begin until Monday, July 1, 2024. Date set for project completion: September 20, 2024 . The project involves the pavement milling, widening, resurfacing, and application of edge line rumble stripes and pavement markings to CR34 from TR75 east to SR101, and CR38 from SR53 east to CR15. The work shall include improvements to approximately 8.0 miles of roadway. All proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished in the contract documents. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond (Performance and Payment Bond) in the full amount of the contractor s bid payable to the Seneca County Commissioners and Ohio Department of Transportation. The funding source for this project is federal funds. Therefore, Davis Bacon wage rates are required. A 7% DBE goal has been assigned to this project. All bidders shall submit a DBE utilization plan electronically using Form stack prior to the bid opening. Any bids received without electronic submission of the DBE utilization plan will be deemed unresponsive. The contractor shall be ODOT pre-qualified at the time of bidding, at the time of project award, and through the life of the construction contract. The prime contractor must perform no less than 30 percent of the total original contract price. The Seneca County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities and to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bid.
