Renovation of an educational facility in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Interior Painting at Guilmette School. Work includes preparation, cleaning of wood and metal surfaces and the painting of classrooms and other areas throughout the school building. Estimated Cost $125,000.00 Bidders must submit a five percent 5% bid deposit with their bid. All bids submitted in response to this Invitation for Bids will be evaluated and awarded in accordance with the provisions established under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 149, sec.44A-J. Vendors will be required to abide by the guidelines established under this statute. This project is subject to Prevailing Wage Rates & OSHA Certifications. The City of Lawrence reserves the right to reject any or all bids or take whatever action is in the best interest of the City. PREPARATION 1. Prepare surfaces to be painted in a skillful manner to produce a finished work of firstclass appearance and durability. 2. Prepare all metal surfaces to include sanding and cleaning. 3. Clean all interior wooden doors of dirt, scuff marks and blemishes. 4. Scrape and clean surfaces to be free of dust, dirt, oil, grease or other foreign matter. 5. Repair all minor void, nicks, cracks and dents as necessary with suitable patching materials and finish flush to adjacent surfaces. 6. Prime coat surfaces as necessary
