Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wilton, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; for the demolition of a parking garage; and parking garage.

Removing and replacing a retaining wall, removing/replacing concrete pad sections, removing/replacing, and adding sections of bituminous asphalt. It shall be the respondents responsibility to advise the Town Administrator (wiltonta@wiltonh.gov) in writing if any language, requirement, specification, etc., or any combination thereof, inadvertently restricts or limits awarding this project to one source The Select Board of the Town of Wilton reserves the right to reject all or any part of any or all proposals, to waive technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any proposal that it deems to be in the best interest of the Town of Wilton. Following a review of the Bids by the Wilton Recycling Center Staff, a recommendation will be made to the Board of Selectmen as to the award of contract. In general, the Scope of Work to be performed under this Contract includes but is not precisely limited to: Remove concrete, granite stone, and jersey barricade retaining wall and replace with interlocking precast concrete Lego style blocks (any other retaining wall configuration listed in Bid Section B with cutsheet submittals and approval by authority having jurisdiction). (Exhibit A) Extreme care must be exercised in removing material and recessing new block retaining wall; and, providing a clear/clean vehicle access to trash box extraction and resetting. Three quarter (3/4") inch stone and six (6) inch underdrain shall be added to the retaining wall backfill. Underdrain discharge location shall be determined on site. Remove/replace concrete pads (or partial pads) for; a) Three Bay steel sorting/refueling station (60'x 10'x8"), (Exhibit B) b) Trash compactor (41'x18'x8") (Exhibit C) c) Two residential demolition bins @ 40 yds ea. (30'x 15'x 8"), (Exhibit D) d) Steel recycling bin (10'x 18'x 8") (Exhibit D) e) Demolition overflow area (45'x 14'x 8") (Exhibit D) f) Remove apron in front of storage garage (17' x 16') (Exhibit E) Within the work zone, Install steel beam guardrail along the northwestern side of 3-Bay steel sorting/ refueling concrete pad. Remove/Replace one Paved Asphalt Driveway (Exhibit C, 106'x17') intersecting aprons wide enough to accommodate turning truck traffic. Add new triangular Concrete Pad for off-loading demo and steel boxes (60'x60'x40'). Filling in area between (Exhibit D pg. 49) demo and steel recycling boxes pads, 3-Bay Metal/refueling pad, and trash compactor box driveway. Any voids shall be blended with asphalt pavement. Technical or administrative questions should be directed to this RFP's main contacts listed on the cover page; administrative questions will be handled by the Town Administrator while technical questions will be referred to the Wilton Recycling Center's Recycling Manager. Highly specific e-mailed or typed questions are strongly preferred, and should reference the section the respondent wants clarified. Responses that are deemed reasonably able to affect competitiveness for this IFB will be released as addenda. As part of the bidding selection process, the Town of Wilton may require (from the top three selections) a summary of work obligations and equipment resources to assure substantial completion and completion of work dates can realistically be met. Substantial Completion of all construction listed above shall be September 30 2024 and Final Completion of all Contract work shall be achieved not later than October 15, 2024 As specified in the Contract Documents and Technical Specifications for this project: 1. A complete set of the Contract Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; the Town of Wilton assumes no responsibility for errors or misinterpretation from the use of the Contract Documents. The Town of Wilton, in making copies of the Contract Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining bids for the work. Copies of the contract documents may be examined at the following locations:Wilton Town Offices 42 Main Street Wilton, NH 03086 The Town of Wilton intends to award the Work to the Contractor who is the most reasonable and responsible low Bidder; however, the Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to wave any informalities related to those Bids received, and/or modify the Scope of Work if it deems one or more of those actions to be in the best interest of the Town of Wilton.
