Site work for a civil project in Colchester, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
The Town of Colchester is requesting separate sealed BIDS for the 2024 Stormwater Spot Repairs Project, which includes stormwater improvements at four locations in Colchester, VT. The summarized scope of work for each location is below. Full scopes of work, details, and plans are included in Appendix C of the contract documents. Galvin Hill Rd Culvert: Replacement of approximately 32' of an existing 24" HDPE stormwater culvert. Lavigne Rd Drywell: Installation of a new stormwater drywell and site grading. Fort Ethan Allen Catch Basin & Drywell: Replacement of an existing catch basin and drywell. Laura Ln Stormwater Pond: Excavation of an existing stormwater pond, installation of stormwater outfall, and installation of a chain-link fence around perimeter of pond. Each BID must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the OWNER for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the BID. A BID bond may be used in lieu of a certified check. A Performance BOND each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. Question Deadline 04/11/2024 Questions related to the bid package are due to Brett McCreary in writing by end of day. The Contractor will be required to satisfactorily complete the entire work, including final grooming and clean-up by September 30, 2024. BIDDER further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $200 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided in Section 23 of the General Conditions. OWNER reserves the right to reject any "materially unbalanced bid". A "materially unbalanced bid" is a BID that contains lump sum or unit prices that do not reflect reasonable labor, equipment, and material costs plus a reasonable proportionate share of overhead and other indirect costs and anticipated profit, and the TOWN determines that the BID may not result in the lowest ultimate cost to the TOWN.
