The Springtree WTP has a clearwell which was constructed in the mid to late 1990s. Recent maintenance events indicate that this clearwell requires structural rehabilitation and coating. The clearwell cannot be bypassed without constructing a bypass pipe that is capable of providing 4-log disinfection. In addition to the bypass pipe, structural improvements and recoating of the clearwell, various valves including transfer pump check valves, 42" effluent valve, 20" valve south of clearwell, 2 each 10" butterfly valves south of clearwell, and 36" post clearwell valve need replacement. Additionally the constant speed transfer pumps need to be replaced with VFD driven pumps, this will need electrical assessment. For safe maintenance, installation of a slaker access platform for the east bank of slakers is necessary. The existing underground ammonia feed line requires replacement since it is running under a building and has reached the end of useful life. The Fluoride room has aging infrastructure that requires various improvements including a new containment wall, rails, sump, coating, piping, pumps, tanks, outside coating, and replacement of outside tanks. This project is recommended in the 2019 Water and Wastewater Master Plan. The project is include in the city's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
