The City of Davis is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide Professional On-Call Landscape Architect and Design Services performed in accordance with the standards of the profession. The City of Davis updated its Facilities Master Plan in 2012. The Parks and Community Services Department is in the process of conducting a Community Needs Assessment and updating the Facilities Plan FY 2024-2025. The City has a multitude of projects addressing deferred maintenance of existing parks and greenbelts, while also desiring to expand and enhance current amenities and recreational facilities. The City also desires to implement such projects with a key emphasis on being environmentally and fiscally sustainable. The City also has open space areas in need of habitat restoration or additional signage, including branding, locational, site-specific and interpretive signage. In 2021, the City updated an On-Call Master List of Landscape Architects, which consists of ten professional firms. This augmentation of staff has been successful in assisting the City completes more work than with City staff alone. The City is now in the process of updating an approved Landscape Architects On-Call Master List for implementation of future projects that may range from small landscape rehabilitations and park playground renovations to large turf reductions citywide. Requests for information or questions must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024. The term of the agreement shall be for a period of three (3) yearsfrom the date that the contract is signed. The City shall have the option to renew said Agreement for up to two (2) additional one (1) year terms upon the same terms and conditions as provided in this Agreement. If the contract extends beyond the initial three (3) year term, prices may be subject to adjustment not to exceed 2% annually. Based on the scope of the projects, Consultant will be required to provide Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds. The surety supplying the bond must be an admitted surety insurer, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, authorized to do business as such in the State of California and satisfactory to the City. The Payment and Performance Bonds shall be for one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Contract Price. If such bond is required, no payment will be made to Contractor until the bond has been received and approved by the City.
