The proposed work is officially known as "2024 Spring Concrete Restoration Program" and further described as sidewalk removal and replacement, driveway removal and replacement, curb and gutter removal and replacement, and landscape restoration at various locations within the Village. Bond Notes: All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashier's check payable to the Village of Westchester for five (5) percent of the amount of the bid as provided in the General Provisions. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond, or check. PERFORMANCE BOND: The successful BIDDER for the construction of the improvements will be required to enter into Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds equal to 100% of the amount of the bid with sureties to be approved by the President and Board of Trustees, when entering into the contract for the work, which shall be conditioned upon the proper and faithful performance by the CONTRACTOR of the work specified in accordance with the contract documents therefore, and the ordinances providing for the work. Owner Rights: The VILLAGE, reserves the right to defer the award of the contract for a period not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days after the date bids are received, and to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities. The Village of Westchester reserves the right to accept the proposal deemed to be in its own best interest based on all of the above considerations. Bids will be acted upon by the President and Board of Trustees.
