Site work for an educational facility in Davis, California. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.

Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision, and transportation needed to complete Courtyard upgrade for Sod Removal area Grading and installation of Interlocking Pavers or Concrete Project All work shall be done in accordance with (IAW) the terms and conditions, drawings, SOW and other attachments set forth in the RFQ. The Contractor will complete the following tasks: Removal of sod and soil for installation of interlocking pavers or poured concrete slab. This is a two-part quote for cost comparison and available options. Provide one quote to include 2 3/8" thick pavers (minimum) and one quote for a 4" concrete patio. Contractors can choose to only provide one, if preferred. Excavation and surface preparation: The surface area of the paved surface is approximately 2500 square feet. The sod and soil must be removed from the site. The area must be excavated to a depth of to accommodate the thickness of the subgrade and final surface materials approximately 7" (pavers) to 8" (concrete) and removed from the site. The subgrade must be compacted to a minimum of 90% relative compaction. Subgrade: The subgrade must be minimum 4" aggregate base (Caltrans Type 2) compacted to a minimum of 95% relative compaction. Grading and drainage: Replace the existing main drain located in the center of the courtyard with an ADA compliant drainage cover. All final surfaces must drain towards the drain at a minimum of 1.25%. All grades must be confirmed by contractor to confirm final surface drainage. Final Surface Options: Concrete: Concrete must be minor concrete conforming to the requirements of Section 90-2 "Minor Concrete" of the (California Department of Transportation) Standard Specifications. No bagged mix is permitted. Pavers: The pavers must be Basalite Universal /60 or equal. Pavers to have an average minimum compressive strength of 8,000 psi (55 Mpa) with no paver testing lower than 7,200 psi (Mpa) in accordance with testing procedures ASTM C-936, Standard Specification for Interlocking Concrete Paving Units. Pavers must be installed per manufacturer's recommended specifications. Installation of interlocking paving stones shall be by a prequalified specialty contractor who has been certified by Basalite and/or the ICPI. The specialty contractor shall possess a minimum of (5) five years' experience in the interlocking paving stone industry and must have satisfactorily completed projects of similar size, scope and cost. the estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE 60 calendar days after notice to proceed. All questions pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be submitted to lam.pham@usda.gov at 9:00 a.m. PT, Thursday, May 09, 2024 using the request for information form. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services and facilities (except as otherwise specified), to perform the Statement of Work/Specifications referenced in Section J The USDA ARS requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to Courtyard upgrade for Sod Removal, area Grading and installation of Interlocking Pavers or Concrete at Western Health Nutrition Research Center (WHNRC) Project located in Davis, CA. . All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings, and specifications contained in this document.
