Eau Claire County is requesting bids for remodel of the restrooms located in the Department of Human Services at 721 Oxford Avenue Suite 3350, Eau Claire WI, as specified in this bid The county will award a single contractor which will manage all subcontractors The contractor to perform services for the County of Eau Claire shall: (A) Maintain worker's compensation insurance as required by Wisconsin Statutes, for all employees engaged in work: (B) Maintain general liability and property damage against any and all claim(s) which might occur in the carrying out of this agreement/contract. Minimum coverage is $500,000-combined single limit liability. (C) When required, professional liability insurance; minimum coverage is $1 million. (D) When required, umbrella policy; minimum coverage is $1 million. Provide, upon request, an insurance certificate(s) indicating this coverage, countersigned by an insurer licensed to do business in the State of Wisconsin, covering the period of this agreement/contract. The insurance certificate shall state that the County is an additional insured A Certificate of Insurance is required from the successful proposer prior to beginning services. Insurance requirements are as stated under the Standard Terms and Conditions. A bid bond is required. This bid bond can be a 5% certified check or a typical 5% bid bond from an insurance company. Certified checks will be returned after the award process. All projects estimated to cost over $50,000 will require a 100% Performance Bond be attained by the selected contractor Copies of the bid bond or certified check are allowed with your e-bid submission however the actual document must be sent via mail and postmarked no later than one (1) day after the bid opening.
