Clatskanie School District Gym Rehabilitation - Voluntary Seismic Strengthening CB Const, Inc, General Contractor, will be receiving subcontractor bids per the information provided below. Project Description: The project scope includes seismic strengthening for the Clatskanie Elementary School Cardiff Building. The building consists of 23,200 square foot single-story building containing classrooms and gymnasium spaces. The building was constructed in 1963 and consists of a wood framed structure. The intent is to strengthen the building to an Immediate Occupancy (Seismic Risk Category IV) seismic performance level. Seismic strengthening will may consist of the following elements -Strengthening existing wood framed walls with plywood sheathing and hold-downs -Strengthen roof diaphragm with blocking, metal strapping and nailing -Strengthen stage floor diaphragm with blocking, metal strapping and nailing -Install bracing and anchorage of various nonstructural components as necessary Please do not hesitate to contact our project manager below with any questions you may have: - Primary Contact: Jason Pennington, Project Manager, Cell: 541-910-1239, EMail: JasonP@cbconst.us
