The Project generally includes excavating up to 10,000 cubic yards of accumulated sediment in Fishhawk Lake and hauling it to the disposal locations. Fishhawk Lake will be drawn down 8 feet, which will allow sediment removal to occur when the water level is lowered. Excavation will occur from the bank with a long boom excavator and a drag line as needed. Disposal of the material will require hauling the material up to seven mile. All in-water work must be completed within the in-water work window of July 1 through August 31. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders Base Bid: $250,000 to $275,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The Work will be substantially completed on or before August 31, 2023, the end of the in-water work window, and completed and ready for final payment on or before September 30, 2023.
