The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for the labor, equipment, materials, tools, parts, transportation, rental, permits, licenses, inspections, fees, calls, and incidentals necessary to demolish and rebuild the existing stairs at the Mount Tom Monument located within Sibley State Park per specifications. The location of the project is: Sibley State Park 800 Sibley Park Road NE, New London, MN 56273 Reconstruction: Furnish and install twenty-six (26) fifty-four-inch (54") by eighteen inch (18") by six inch (6") granite steps, closely matching the colors of the existing granite at Mount Tom Monument. Ensure that all granite steps have a thermal seal on all exposed sides to enhance durability and weather resistance. Follow all manufacturer guidelines for proper installation and anchoring of all granite steps. Replace existing concrete pavers on leveled dry gravel. Grade the outside edges to prevent erosion. Implement all necessary measures to protect the surrounding environment, including trees, plants, and other natural features during the construction process. Utilize barriers and signage to ensure the safety of park visitors and workers. Conduct thorough inspections during and after installation to verify the proper alignment, levelness, and stability of all granite steps. Address any discrepancies or issues promptly to maintain the quality of work. 2024-748 Sibley State Park Mount Tom Monument Stairs Replacement The project shall be substantially complete by June 15, 2024 ; Final Completion of the work shall be on or before June 30, 2024.
