Dublin San Ramon Services District (District or DSRSD) is seeking proposals from qualified firms for repair and rehabilitation of an 8-inch Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP) sewer line near Del Mar Drive in San Ramon, CA. DSRSD has performed CCTV of the sewer line and identified the need to rehabilitate an 8-inch sewer line to address the voids and longitudinal cracks. The District would like the work to occur in the summer of 2024. Proposer shall schedule work so that all bypasses are performed during dry weather periods (April 15--October 15, 2024). The Proposer shall complete the field scope of work provided in the RFP no later than September 30, 2024. All project closeout items shall be completed by October 15, 2024. The Proposer shall possess, as a minimum, a valid Class A License. The Proposer or Proposer's subcontractor performing the bypass pump work on this project shall possess, as a minimum, a valid "A" and/or "C-34" (Pipeline) contractor's license. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES The District's objectives, including but are not limited to the following: 1. Rehabilitate an 8-inch Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP) sewer line near Del Mar Drive in San Ramon, CA that is critical to conveying wastewater from surrounding area to the District's Wastewater Treatment Plant for treatment. 2. The Proposer is responsible for reviewing and analyzing the CCTV provided as part of the RFP and determining a detailed Rehab Action Plan for the repair and rehab of sewer line. This will include details on how to address the voids ahead of lining (voids at 37', 77', and 100'). Voids at 37' and 77' are within the steel encased portion of the pipe. Void at 100' is outside of the steel encased pipe. Two reasons that voids need to be addressed first are: a. to stabilize the soil around the void at 100'; and b. to insure a proper lining without a tear in the liner. 3. The Proposer is responsible for making a full structural repair of the pipeline whether using a sectional liner for spot repair after addressing the voids or a complete CIPP lining of the line after addressing the voids. All CIPP work shall comply with Section 15221: Cured-In-Place Rehabilitation of Existing Sewer provided in Attachment C. For spot repairs, the Proposer shall pay close attention to Section 3.05 Installation of Sectional Liner in Section 15221: Cured-In-Place Rehabilitation of Existing Sewer in Attachment C. 4. The Proposer shall provide a temporary bypass plan while the line is in the rehabilitation process. Proposer or Proposer's subcontractors shall notify residents within 500 feet of the project site. 5. The Proposer shall complete the field scope of work provided in the RFP no later than September 30, 2024. All project closeout items shall be completed by October 15, 2024.
