The Darwell Lagoon Commission (DLC) wishes to obtain proposals from qualified Proponents for the construction of a new wastewater transmission line along the north and south sides of Lake Isle. On the north side, the line will run from Woodland Bay Estates to a Lift Station located to adjacent to Sunnyside Estates. On the south side, the line will run from Silver Sands to the same lift station. The line will then run from the lift station to the Darwell Lagoon. The intent of this Request For Qualification (RFQ) is to seek qualified submissions from Proponents with proven experience in the construction of similar sized wastewater transmission lines. Through this Request for Qualifications, the DLC seeks to ensure that companies that bid on this Contract have the experience, skill, ability, resources, bonding, integrity, and safety requirements needed to complete the specific work of this project. Major work items for this contract will include the following (approximation): a) Supply and install 30.8 km of 150 mm, 200 mm, and 300 mm HDPE pipe via horizontal directional drilling (HDD). b) Excavation, backfill, reclamation, and seeding of HDD entrance and exit pits. c) Installation of cleanouts at appropriate locations along the alignment. d) Installation of air release valves and isolation valves. e) Highway and utility crossings. f) Discharge connection and metering station at the Darwell Lagoon.
