SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted for the following: 2024 Bituminous Seal Coat 71,113 S.Y. Single Bituminous Seal Coat with #8 Aggregate as per Pub. 408, Section 470 7,538 S.Y. Double Bituminous Seal Coat with #8 Aggregate as per Pub. 408, Section 470 All materials must meet PennDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders for the 2024 Bituminous Seal Coat proposal must be PennDOT prequalified and must supply proof of prequalification. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid made payable to Lower Towamensing Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. All bids will be opened publicly and read at the Lower Towamensing Township Building at 595 Hahns Dairy Road, Palmerton, PA 18071. Lower Towamensing Township Boards of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/ or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Township. complete all work on or before August 15, 2024.
