Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work in general will include: plain cement concrete curb construction, plain cement concrete sidewalk construction, ADA ramp construction, pavement milling and roadway preparation, followed by a bituminous tack coat, a superpave asphalt leveling course, and a superpave asphalt wearing course for the project areas as shown on the Construction Plans. All project areas and/or roadway improvement areas included with this project will be contained within the existing Borough right-of-way area. All work shall be completed within 90 calendar days of the date of project commencement. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Borough of Palmerton or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds in the amount of not less than one-hundred percent (100%) of the estimated amount. An acceptable surety company is anyone included in the latest issue of the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570 listings and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance to do business in Pennsylvania. The Borough of Palmerton reserves the right to reject all or any Bids or parts thereof, and waive technicalities as it deems best in the interest of the Borough. Additionally, all unit price and total cost amounts must be completed on the bid sheet to be considered a complete bid. Bids may be held by the Borough of Palmerton for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
