San Juan County is seeking public works bids for the application of approximately 315 miles of longitudinal line pavement markings on County roads on San Juan Island, Orcas Island, Lopez Island, and Shaw Island. See the maps provided for additional details. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction, 2024 edition (WSDOT Standard Specifications) and the attached special provisions. Estimated Total Cost: $225,000 End Date 09/02/2024 Contract Time: Ten (10) working days during the months of August and September 2024. This bid invitation is being distributed to potential bidders listed on the MRSC small works roster for San Juan County in the Roadway Construction, Repair, and Maintenance subcategory of Pavement Markings. Qualified bidders must be contractors registered with MRSC Small Works Rosters for San Juan County, in the appropriate service category/categories, by the time of bid submission. Contract Bond (Payment and Performance Bond): Each successful bidder shall provide an executed contract bond for the full contract amount, in accordance with RCW 39.08.010. Bidder Questions: Oral explanations, interpretations, or instructions given by anyone before the award of a contract will not be binding on San Juan County. Any information given to a prospective bidder concerning any of the bid documents will be furnished to all prospective bidders as an Addendum, if that information is deemed by the County to be necessary in submitting bids or if the County concludes that the lack of the information would be prejudicial to other prospective bidders.
