Project Description: The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is seeking bids from contractors to remove and install new fence at 2230 E. 66th Ave. Anchorage, AK. Question Deadline and location: DATE: April 25, 2024 PREVAILING TIME:4:00 PM. Anticipated Period of Performance or Completion Date: Anticipated beginning of contract upon issuance of Notice to Proceed and project must be completed on or before June 21, 2024. Scope of work includes: a. Removal and disposal of existing 300' of 6' tall cedar fence and posts. b. Construction of approximately 320' of 4' tall chain link fence. Fence to have four gates total, two in front of property along with two in rear. Each gate to be 3' wide and self-latch when closed. New fence to also include the addition of a 20' fence located in back yard to separate unit properties. New fence to be constructed of 4' chain link, with posts spaced every 6'. Posts must be concreted in ground to a depth of 2'. Posts must be leveled and braced to ensure plumbness prior to chain link being installed. c. Removal of one (1) White Spruce tree including stump along with two other stumps from back yard. Tree is approximately 12" diameter and 30' tall. d. Top soil to be spread, seeded, and graded to match existing grade in location of stump removal and other areas affected by fence construction. Contractor to supply all materials required to complete scope of work, and properly dispose of any excess or unusable materials. Contractor responsible for calling in underground utility locates prior to fence post installation. All materials being used by contractor should have specifications supplied at bid, as well as a full detailed scope/work plan.
