Reference Number 0000270167 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/05/27 04:00:00 PM CDT The Rural Municipality of Gimli is accepting quotes to perform emulsified patching repairs on the following paved roads: Centennial Rd Goldfield Dr Gimli Beach Dr Barney Thomas Dr 2nd Ave (Goldfield Dr to North 5th Ave) Machine-applied spray consisting of a combination of hot emulsified asphalt oil and crushed stone chips. The high pressure at which the patching material is sprayed forces it tightly into the pothole, and to some extent, it displaces any water that may be in the pothole. Paved Road Emulsified Patching Scope of Work: Emulsified patching of asphalt roads is part of the annual street maintenance program. Emulsified patching is meant to extend pavement life by minimizing the entry of water into the road structure. This maintenance program is meant to extend the overall service life of asphalt roads. Five asphalt roads have been identified for emulsified patching and are included in Table 1: Emulsified Patching Locations. Provide an operator, all equipment and material for 2x8 hour days to patch the paved roads identified in Table 1. Contact the contract administrator at the end of each day to review what was completed in order to assess progress. The Contractor must obtain Comprehensive General Public Liability coverage with limits of $2,000,000.00 per occurrence or incident. The policy must name the Rural Municipality of Gimli as an additional insurer in respect of all matters associated with the contract and will protect the Municipality in respect of all claims arising directly or indirectly because of the contract. Coverage must include bodily injury, death, and property damage, including loss of use thereof and shall not have a deductible that exceeds $500.00. Before the Contractor starts work for the Municipality, a Certificate of Insurance must be provided to them. Before such coverage is terminated, the insurer must notify the Municipality of the date of termination. Upon renewal of the policy, the insurer will provide an updated Certificate to the Municipality.
