We are situated on the South-West corner of the Riding Mountain National Park (RMNP) with its over 3000 square km of pristine nature just in front of us. Our municipality boast 3 National Park entrances, with Deep Lake and its camping site being the best known, all considered backcountry. About 370 km trail network awaits you within RMNP, be it for hiking, cycling or horseback riding. Rossburn is proud to be having the Trans Canada Trail (TCT) passing through our municipality known as the Rossburn Subdivision Trail which runs from Neepawa to Russell . We are connected through the trail system with the RMNP. The chosen route along the Birdtail Creek is historically important to our Anishinaabe neighbors of Waywayseecappo and in collaboration with them will showcase interpretive signage telling their stories. Additionally, the first Ukrainian settlings to the Treaty 2 area will be highlighted. Our many lakes invite for fishing and relaxation, among others Rossman Lake with swimming, camping and its golf course and Patterson Lake being an internationally known trout lake, sporting camping sites as well. Snow plowing and removal of snow from urban locations when and where directed by the Public Works Department, to include but not be limited to: Manitoba Avenue, Cloverdale Avenue, Fairview Drive, Manor Drive, Sprucewood Avenue, Pioneer Avenue, Heritage Avenue, Veteran's Drive, Arena Road, Pine Street, Bud Street, clearing of ridges left by either Contractor, Public Works or other Government/Private Operators at driveway entrances within the Urban Area. 1. FIRST priority: the Contractor will be responsible for cleaning the following: Manitoba Ave - Main Street to Centennial Road Heritage Ave - Main Street to Centennial Road Pioneer Ave - Main Street to Centennial Road Sprucewood Ave - Main Street to Centennial Road Cloverdale Ave - Main Street to Centennial Road Fairview Drive - Cloverdale to Sprucewood Ave Manor Drive - Total Cul de Sac Veteran's Drive - Manor Drive to Victoria Ave E Pine Street - Main Street to dead end Contractor agrees to indemnify and save harmless Rossburn Municipality from all claims of every nature and kind which may be made or brought against the Municipality by reason of the Contractor carrying out the terms of this contract. The Contractor shall, at no cost to the Municipality, adequately insure all equipment and vehicles used and required to perform the tender work. The Contractor is required to have Comprehensive General Public Liability coverage with limits not less than $2,000,000.00 per occurrence or incident. The policy must name the Rossburn Municipality as an additional insured in respect of all matters associated with the contract and will protect the Municipality in respect of any and all claims arising directly or indirectly as a result of the contract. Prior to the Contractor beginning work for the Municipality, a Certificate of Insurance must be provided to the Municipality.
