Reference Number 0000297536 Bid Intent Deadline 2025/07/31 05:00:00 PM CDT Rossburn Municipality is requesting Proposals (Proposal) for residential and commercial garbage and recycling collection and processing services. Rossburn Municipality is seeking a service provider who will be proactive in helping the Municipality manage garbage and recyclables in the most cost effective and efficient manner. The Municipality wishes to increase the diversion of materials currently going into landfills. It is intended that the service provider will be the driving force behind growth of the recycling activity and increased diversion rates, working in partnership with Rossburn Municipality, its staff, Multi-material Stewardship Manitoba (MMSM) and area residents. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit bids for the bi-weekly collection and processing of the Rossburn Municipality garbage and recycling and enter into an agreement with a contractor whose bid is judged to best serve the interest of the Municipality when evaluated. The agreement shall be for three (3) years and is expected to begin October 1, 2025, and end September 30, 2028. Biweekly collection of residential garbage and recycling will take place in the community of Rossburn, select sites at Rossman Lake, the Municipal Landfill site as well as the community Recycling Depot. It is anticipated that the rural recycling collection could be moved to the Municipal Landfill site to minimize cost. Rossburn - 280 residential Dwellings Biweekly Bin/ Container collection to approximately 20 commercial locations in Rossburn. These include multi-family units and commercial buildings Municipal landfill site - 2 bins Rossman Lake - 5 sites consisting of 16 bins (subject to change) Sunset Point - permanent homes - 2 bins East Campground - 2 bins North Shore cabins and campground - 2 bins Rossman Lake south shore - cabins and campground - 9 bins Rossman Lake Golf Club House 1 bin Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
