Site work and paving for a civil project in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, paving rehabilitation and the supply and install of a storm sewer outfall at the Marine Atlantic Terminal. More particularly the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: - Mobilization and demobilization, including all labor and equipment as specified and as required to carry out the work. - Milling to remove 50mm of asphalt, application of a tack coat and reinstatement of surface course of asphalt, to a depth of 50mm. Quantity and locations as shown on drawings. - In areas noted, full depth reconstruction of asphalt. Remove asphalt, along with granular base and sub-base, to a total of depth of 450mm and provide new asphalt, granular base, and granular sub-base. Quantity and locations as shown on drawings. - Reinstatement of pavement markings to existing details prior to milling of asphalt. Quantity and locations as shown on drawings. - Remove existing armour stone to accommodate installation of new storm sewer outfall. Supply and install new storm sewer catch basin and 400mm Ø HDPE storm sewer pipe as shown on drawings. Reinstate armour stone after installation of pipe. - Locate existing 300mm Ø PVC storm sewer in two (2) locations and cut existing pipe. Supply and connect new 300mm Ø DR-35 PVC pipe to existing at two (2) locations with 300mm Ø sleeve type coupling, as shown on drawings. - Supply and install new storm sewer valve chamber with inflow protector. New pipe to extend through chamber and be equipped with 300mm Ø back flow preventer in chamber, as shown on drawings. Each tender shall be accompanied by an initial deposit for a sum of ten percent (10%) of the Total Amount Payable in evidence of the bona fide nature of the Tender. The Contractor shall, prior to commencement of the Work, provide to the Owner a Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Bond, each in the amount of 50% of the Total Amount Payable Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
