The Road Commission for Oakland County, Michigan (RCOC) is soliciting Qualification Statements for the following service categories: General Consulting Engineering Services for Highway and Bridge Design and Related Activities Construction, Geotechnical and Material Testing Engineering Services for Highway and Bridge Projects and Related Activities Roundabout Engineering, Design and Related Activities Consulting Engineering Services for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Related Activities Services will be performed on various federal, state and locally-funded road and bridge projects for calendar years 2025-2027. Specific information regarding criteria for selection, the scope of engineering services that may be requested, RCOC's procedures for requesting services, and additional requirements for consultant services are available at www.rcocweb.org, click "Doing Business with RCOC; click "Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Consultant Services". Interested firms who wish to submit Qualification Statements for more than one category must submit separate Qualification Statements for each category. The Road Commission for Oakland County reserves the right to reject any or all of the Qualification Statements received and to re-solicit any of the above consultant engineering services at its sole discretion. Qualification Statements received after the above-described deadline will not be opened for consideration. The interview will focus on the above criteria as well as the consultant's projected workload, experience with MDOT, equal employment practices and disadvantaged business enterprise participation. The consultant may be requested to provide engineering services including highway design, survey, right-of-way acquisition, traffic signal design, construction engineering, geotechnical engineering, testing, bridge inspection and bridge design, and other services on highway projects ranging in scope from minor intersection improvements to construction or reconstruction of primary county roads and bridges carrying upward of 50,000 vehicles per day. RCOC will assign each project to a consultant based on the consultant's expertise, workload and familiarity with the project and local community.
