The project will mill to remove the existing pavement, repave to a 1.5" thickness of PAG Mix#2 (PG 76-22TR+ binder), install curb access ramps where required and replace speed humps. Failure of the Successful Bidder to execute a contract and file the required bonds within the timeframe specified in the Notice of Intent to Award letter, shall be just cause for the cancellation of the award and may be cause for the forfeiture of the Bid Bond or other Bid securities, which shall become the property of the City of Tucson, not as a penalty, but as liquidation of damages sustained by the City. Award may then be made to the next lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, or the Work may be re-advertised or abandoned, as the City may decide. Liquidated damages shall be in the amount of $1860.00for each calendar day of delay.
