The City of Marlborough ("City"), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from contractors for the Reconstruction of a Portion of the Marlborough Police Department Parking Lot in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The project consists of drainage improvements, pavement reclamation, removal and setting of concrete curbing, paving, line painting and final restoration, including all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the Work. The estimated project cost is approximately $250,000.00. Bids are subject to M.G.L., c. 30, 39M, and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L c.149, 26 thrdugh 27H inclusive. This project is part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Fiscal Year 2024 Earmark. Questions concerning the bid specifications must be submitting in writing via email to Attn: Mark Dascoli at mdascoli@marlborough-ma.gov no later than 3 business days prior to the scheduled bid opening. All questions and answers shall be distributed as an addendum to all on record as having received the bid documents. Bid Security shall be at least five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, considering all alternates. The Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond shall be: a) with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to Owner; b) conditional upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in the Bid. A Bid Security in the form of cash, or a certified check, treasurer's, or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company and made payable to the Owner must be submitted with a completed Cash Bid Bond Affidavit form and received by the Owner before the time of bidding.
