A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The following specifications represent the minimum characteristics desired in the service to be purchased. These requirements are not intended to prevent obtaining fair prices or to eliminate competition, but to ensure, if possible, that all bids submitted should not be subject to correction or alteration after the bid has been filed, opened, and publicly read. The Pierce County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to evaluate any or all bids, particularly where there is a range in specifications. It is expressly understood by the bidder that written notice of the award or purchase order by the Pierce County Board of Commissioners will constitute an agreement and consummate the transaction and will serve together with the proposal, the advertisement, these instructions and the detailed specifications, as the entire form of contract between the parties. Specifications referred to are minimum, therefore unless otherwise indicated by the bidder, the Pierce County Board of Commissioners will assume proposals meet or exceed all specifications. The award of the contract will be made to the lowest responsible & responsive bidder taking into consideration quality performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the contract. The Pierce County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject all bids as appears in its own best interest and to waive technicalities. The Pierce County Board of Commissioners Reserves the Right to Accept Any or All Bids or to Choose the Bid Considered to Be in Their Best Interest. Proposers taking exception to any part or section of this request for proposal shall indicate such exceptions on a separate sheet entitled "Exceptions to Specifications". Failure to indicate any exceptions shall be interpreted as the proposer's intent to fully comply with the specifications as written. No bidder will be allowed to withdraw his proposal for any reason whatsoever after the bids have been opened. The bidder agrees that the Pierce County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to accept the part of the bid considered to be in the best interest of the Pierce County Board of Commissioners. The contractor must provide proof of General Liability Insurance, Worker's Compensation, Property Damage Insurance, E-Verify, and a business licensing. The proposer may be required to furnish a performance bond for the amount of the value of the contract to ensure faithful performance. Failure to complete all paper work will void the bid. All taxes or fees due to Pierce County must be paid and all claims against the business must be settled to be considered a qualified bidder. The project must be completed within 45 days of the notice to proceed. The Final Decision of Purchase Will Be Made Upon the Award of the Pierce County Board of Commissioners Office. No Bid Will Be Considered if Received After the Date and Time Specified. No Faxed Bids Will Be Accepted. 1. Demolition of all structures on the property known as 619 Grady Street, Blackshear, GA 31516. 2. Removal of brick slab and footings under all structures on site. 3. Filling of any significant holes in the ground surface to maintain a level and raked clean site after completion. 4. Must be able to show tickets from proper disposal of materials. 5. Must maintain BMP for land disturbance. (i.e., keep dirt and debris off roadway.) 6. Responsible for approval for any road closure needed during demolition. 7. Responsible bid price shall include all demolition, disposal, and hauling from site. 8. Pierce County is not responsible for any liability to include but not limited to debris falling off in roadway during transport.
