Installation of new unit ventilators with VRF and hot water coils serving classrooms. Construction is anticipated for summer 2025; the estimated construction cost is $1,250,000. Filed sub-bid categories for the purposes of this bid are: Painting, HVAC, and Electrical. A bid deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the total project is required. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the successful Bidder. Project is subject to compliance with prevailing wage requirements. This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, and any resulting contract will be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The City reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the scope of work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder. ESSER III funding for this work must be obligated by September 30, 2024 followed by Awarding Authority's application of extension for Work to proceed in 2025. Should Fitchburg Public Schools be denied such an extension, the South Street HVAC Project will be canceled; any and all payment terms contained within the Contract documents shall be null and void.
