City of Shawnee, Kansas (Owner) is requesting Bids for construction of the following Project: 50th Street and Rene Road Storm Drainage Improvements The project includes the replacement of eight pipes (1500 Linear Feet complete and the designer and staff noted that a number of utilities and the City storm sewer were originally installed outside the ROW when the subdivision was built. Bid results will be published electronically. The project has a duration of 90 days from Notice to Proceed to reach the final competition date, including the punch list items. In the event that a site is completed outside of the respective season for sod and/or planting, the restoration shall be deferred to the next sod and/or planting season and completed within the respective season. The Owner anticipates the Notice to Proceed will be issued on approximately the week on July 22th , 2024 Each Bidder shall provide with their Bid a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check, in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Bid security will be returned to the unsuccessful Bidders as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer via the questions and response module in e-Builder. 8.03 Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered via e-Builder to all registered plan holders. Questionsreceived less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answere Clarifications or exceptions are not allowed on the Bid. Bids received after the time and date specified for receipt of Bids will not be considered. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids. The Contract will be awarded by the Governing Body of the Owner at the complete and sole discretion of such Governing Body. Bidders will be able to review the Bid results electronically after Bids are opened and will be notified of the bid results within fourteen (14) days of the date established for receipt of Bids.
