This is a request for an additional appropriation to complete the Glenville Road Corridor Improvements. This entire budget request is receiving grant funding through CTDOT. This project will include a new signal at Pemberwick /Glenville intersection, optimize the corridor signals through coordination and improve vehicle detection at each intersection to meet traffic demands. Geometric improvements at the Glenville Rd./Pemberwick Rd. intersection will be made. These improvements will create better traffic flow by reducing vehicle delay and improve travel times along the corridor Also included are curb and sidewalk improvements, minor drainage revisions, and related work. The project has been bid 2 years in a row and the funding requested as part of this budget sheet should address the budget shortfall to allow the Town to enter into contract. The project is include in the city's 2025-2039 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
