This project aims to install two new sections of sidewalk on Shore Road in Old Greenwich: Between Tomac Avenue and Stamford and between Sound Beach Avenue and Tod's Point Causeway. This project is a continuation of the Shore Road sidewalk project that was completed in 2023. While the sidewalk is the main focus of this project, additional improvements could include improved signage, drainage, striping, and roadway alignment. These improvements are all meant to maximize pedestrian safety by removing all pedestrian traffic from the roadway. Funds requested in this year's request will include initial survey required for a design, utility location work including test pits, property line determinations for ROW, and other supplemental design work needed to complete construction documents. Any funds remaining from this design would be utilized during the construction phase of the project. A significant portion of the design will be completed by in-house staff.
