The Town of Longboat Key is currently seeking sealed bids from dredging contractors to excavate, transport, place, and shape roughly 80,000 cubic yards (cy) of beach-quality sand from the Longboat Pass channel borrow area located within the ebb shoal to a 2,000-ft segment of the Longboat Key, FL, Gulf of Mexico shoreline at Gulfside Road. The Contractor will be responsible for installing 19,570 plants along the landward portion of the beach fill. The Successful Bidder shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor to complete the work described above, and shall perform all site preparation and restoration (as applicable), surveys, safety and security measures, permit compliance, tilling and final grading.
