**As of October 30, 2024 project has been canceled. As of this time it is unknown if an when project will rebid. Demo existing parking lot islands curbs behind VSP HQ West Building. Twenty-five (25) islands (see diagram "A") Remove and dispose of existing white gravel in all islands Twenty-five (25) total. Fill and compact eroded land area located at rear of VSP site with material and dispose of any remaining excess offsite. Remove and dispose of all weed fabric and plastic edging. Remove existing parking lot trees (approximately 34 oaks), grind stumps, remove grindings. Grind two (2) existing dead tree stumps and remove grindings. Remove mounded soil and/or level soil in islands. Amend island soil per specs. Install 24" concrete curb/spill gutter with supporting 18" concrete band per specs. Stripe a 2' no parking hatch next to each island where existing parking spots are located. Repair any damage to existing pavement. Furnish and install 2" caliper B&B trees (Red Maple, Japanese Zelkova, or American linden specific variety TBD) Furnish and install planting ground cover per spec. Furnish and install eleven (11) concrete sphere bollards in front of main entrance to be Wausau Tile spec or equivalent (anchor style B). All work to take place on weekend (Saturday and Sunday exclusively). Existing light poles and light bollards to remain in islands. Existing parking signs to remain. If removed, must be reinstalled.
