Renovation of a fire / police facility in Woodbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Town of Woodbury is soliciting bids to replace the roofing and gutters on the Hotchkissville Fire Station. The Town of Woodbury, AA/EOE/Title VI Compliant, intends to have the below mentioned Hotchkissville Fire Station Roofing project completed. 1. Remove the existing roofing, underlayment, and metal edging. Identify and replace any rotted decking at a bid specified hourly labor rate and a material replacement cost per sheet. Remove all project debris and leftover material from job site. 2. Install ice and water shield from the lowest edges of all roof eaves and rake surfaces to a point not less than 24 inches inside the exterior wall line of the building. All valleys should be covered at a Minium of 3'. 3. Cover the balance of the roof in a synthetic underlayment. 4. Install white aluminum cap at rake edges and eave edges. 5. Install 25-to-30-year architectural GAF shingles. Color should match to exiting roof shingles. Nailing pattern of shingles shall meet CT wind code. 6. Install all necessary flashing at existing roof penetrations. 7. Provide Town with minimum 5-year installation warranty along with coverage terms. 8. Work can commence upon bid approval but no later than 60 days after receiving bid approval and all work should be completed no later than October 25, 2024 weather permitting. 9. Answers to these questions, if warranted, shall be issued on the Town website as indicated below.
