The Project is comprised of three (3) contracts: - Contract One - General Construction - Contract Two - Mechanical Work - Contract Three - Electrical Work The work to be done under these Contracts and in accordance with the Contract Documents consists of furnishing labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, permits, certificates, shop drawings, and accessories, as may be required, for the proper execution and construction of the wastewater treatment plant upgrades and related work. The Project consists of improvements to the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) including a new headworks building, installation of a new flash mix tank, rehabilitation of the primary and secondary clarifiers and associated equipment, rehabilitation of the aeration tanks and associated equipment, conversion of two aeration tanks to swing equalization basins, replacement of aeration blowers, installation of a new magnesium hydroxide system, replacement of the chlorine gas system with sodium hypochlorite disinfection, repair and rehabilitation of the primary digester, construction of a new boiler building and digester gas handling equipment, demolition of the secondary digesters, refurbishment of the laboratory, replacement of the existing belt filter press with a dewatering screw press, upgrade of the plant electrical service, installation of a new SCADA system and various piping, and site work associated with the improvements.
