Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in North Waltham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Highway Construction for the project with an estimated value of $1,712,632.50 will be required. The project involves the following major items: 1. Installation of approximately 200 linear feet of new 12", 8", and 6" CLDI water main sections and fittings. 2. Cleaning and lining of approximately 1,400 linear feet of existing 6" cast iron water main. 3. Installation of hydrants, gate valves, and all other related appurtenances. 4. Installation of temporary water main servicing residential areas. All temporary connections and reconnections. 5. Replacement of water services and sewer services. 6. Cleaning, CCTV inspection, approximately 6,300 linear feet of sewer and drain main of various diameters. 7. CIPP Lining of approximately 2,000 linear feet of sewer main of various diameters. 8. Point repairs, both open cut and trenchless of sewer and drainage systems as required. 9. Reconstruction of approximately 1,700 linear feet of roadway including new granite curbing, granite curb wall, concrete sidewalks, driveway aprons and concrete wheelchair ramps. 10. Mill & overlay of approximately 5,500 linear feet of roadway. BID SECURITIES shall be in amount of 5% of the bid and in the form of a certified check drawn upon a bank within the State of Massachusetts or a bid bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Massachusetts, made payable to the OWNER. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BOND and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within five (5) days following notification of the acceptance of his Bid. The award of the contract may be contingent upon the appropriation of funds by the Waltham City Council. All costs associated with the preparation of the bids shall be the responsibility of the bidder, regardless of whether or not the Contract is awarded.
