Candidates should not contact any team members or any individual associated with the Owner regarding this RFP. No phone calls. Evaluation Criteria: 40% Exprerience 40% Cost 20% Quality of Response A. Demolition: 1. Tear-off and salvage existing copper metal panels, ridge caps, valley flashing, drip edge flashing, counterflashings,vertical fascia, lightning protection cables, gutters, wall panels on gable ends and exterior walls of the light monitors, and other copper accessories for recycling. Store copper materials neatly on site at designated area dictated by the Owner. Salvage existing snow fences for reuse. Copper sill flashing at windows shall remain. 2. Tear-off and properly dispose of the underlayment, panel clips, fasteners, roof flashings,, sheet metal counter flashings, gutter, downspouts and electrical heat tracing cable. 3. Tear off and properly dispose of existing slate tile and snow clips. 4. The existing plywood substrate and rigid insulation shall remain except where damaged or wet. B. Furnish and install new: 1. Ice and water dam protection membrane, underlayment, and 12" wide 20 oz. copper standing seam metal roof panels with 1-1/2" tall interlocking standing seams with related flashings, snow clips, gutters, dowspouts, and accessories as specified. 2. Vertical fascia and curved sub-fascia at eaves. 3. Roof Ice Melt system in the gutters, downspouts, eaves, and valleys as specified. 4. Metal wall panels over new weather resistant barrier on the gable ends of the roof and light monitor walls to match existing. 5. Slate tiles over new underlayment to match existing with copper snow clips. 6. Lightning protection system that is U.L. Certified. Secure cables to the ribs of the standing seam roof panels or to the new snow bars with non-penetrating clips. C. Reinstall snow fences back to their original locations. D. At locations where insulation is removed, inspect the existing structural deck, and inform the Owner immediately of observed damage and or deterioration. E. Where insulation is removed, re-secure loose structural deck, and perform repairs to the structural deck, as determined necessary by the Owner. Refer to Section 053123. Replace damaged or deteriorated wood blocking, as determined necessary by the Owner. Refer to Section 061053. F. Provide required wood blocking where indicated on the project drawings. Refer to Section 061053. G. Refer to Section 072224 for insulation product and installation requirements. H. Provide a 20-Year, " Materials and Labor Warranty" for the roof system. Refer to Sections 076100 and 076205 for product and installation requirements. I. Provide sealants at locations indicated on the project drawings. Refer to Section 079201.
