Renovation of a civil project in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to add a chemical building addition that will house a relocated sodium hydroxide and fluoride bulk storage, day tank, and dosing equipment. The addition also has an electrical room which houses new MCC and VFDs for the replacement of 3 existing high service pumps with 2 new larger 150 horsepower vertical turbine high service pumps. Project also includes replacement of lime slaker, carbon dioxide feed panel, chemical feed pumps, chemical storage tanks, and replacement of valves, sensors, and electrical equipment to different Plant processes to bring the Plant into automatic operation via SCADA, together with related subsidiary and incidental work in accordance with the plans and specifications. SCADA programming and new controls and panels are required and shall be coordinated with the Phase I systems integrator. The work shall be completed as follows: Work shall be substantially completed by February 26, 2027 Final Completion and ready for operation shall be achieved by May 28, 2027 Bid security shall be provided in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state chartered or federally chartered credit union, or a bid bond of a reputable bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Iowa in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The bid security shall be included in a separate sealed envelope, plainly marked "bid bond". The bid security shall be forfeited as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails proper execution of the contract documents. The successful bidder must execute performance and payment bonds, each in an amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount to ensure a timely, efficient, and complete performance. The bonds shall be issued from a reputable bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Iowa.
