This request is to replace playground equipment at Edmundson Park with modern, handicap accessible equipment. The cost of the playground equipment includes: * $359,275 for the purchase of the playground equipment * $561,339 for construction costs, including the installation of a concrete footing, assembling and installing the equipment, providing and installing the playground surface, and other related construction tasks * $8,000 for engineering This project is being funded partially by private contributions, and partially by the city Local Option Sales Tax and ARPA funds. A committee of local service organization representatives completed fundraising and applied for grants. This project is included in the City's FY 2025-2029 capital Improvement program (CIP). As of October 18, 2024, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
