Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in North Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Scope of Work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Montowese Elementary School - Parking Lot Reconstruction o Saw cut existing pavement at limits of reconstruction area o Pulverize existing pavement for reuse as base for new pavement o Supplement existing base material with Processed Aggregate as directed o Place new asphalt in two lifts to match existing site grades/slopes. The above Scope of Work, shall be completed no later than August 23, 2024. Extension of work related to Bid Alternates or changes in the bid shall be agreed upon by the Town of North Haven and the successful Bidder. Unless otherwise stated in the Invitation to Bid, each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in Connecticut or by a cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Town of North Haven, Connecticut. The amount of the bid deposit shall be 10% of the total base bid unless otherwise specified. The successful bidder must supply a performance bond for the full amount of the estimated total bid. The performance bond shall be for the benefit of the Town of North Haven. The performance bond will be required as security by the successful bidder for faithful performance of its contract. This performance bond will be required within 10 days of the award notification. The performance bond must be written by a surety company licensed to transact business in the State of Connecticut. The successful bidder upon failure or refusal to furnish within 10 days the required performance bond shall forfeit to the Town of North Haven as liquidated damages their bid bond amount. The Director of Administration/Procurement reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects in same, or to choose to make purchases other than strictly in accordance with price considerations, and/or to choose other than the lowest bidder, if it be deemed in the best interest of the Town of North Haven.
