North Haven Memorial Library Renovations Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment Project NORTH HAVEN MEMORIAL LIBRARY RENOVATIONS FURNITURE, FIXTURES & EQUIPMENT PROJECT #25-14 The General Description and project specifications apply to: new furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF & E), including, freight, and site work coordination for the demolition and removal of the on first floor circulation desk, reference desk, computer desks the first floor, shelving; installation of circulation desks with solid-surface countertops, circulation work table with solid surface countertop, new computer tables, display furniture; installation of coffee station; installation of teen department desk, teen gaming area furniture and cabinetry, teen computer stations, teen shelving; installation of new and relocation/installation of existing shelving on the first floor; on the second floor installation of three floor to ceiling study rooms; installation of study carrels. On the lower level, demolition and removal of existing countertops; installation of solid surface counter tops on existing circulation desk. Because the North Haven Memorial Library will remain open to the public for the duration of the project, the Contractor's responsibility shall include, but not be limited to, maintaining overall site conditions and work to keep library patrons safe and the library accessible during the project. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and requirements The Project is paid for in part by State funds provided by the Connecticut State Library, including $249,999.00 of the state bond funds available for this Project. Connecticut's prevailing wage laws apply to this project. Within five (5) days of receipt of a notice of award, the selected bidder shall sign the contract provided by the Town without alteration or modification. The Town of North Haven hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority and disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and that they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, in consideration for an award. All questions regarding the above solicitation for Bid shall be submitted in writing only to BOTH Richard Monico, Director of Administration and Procurement at monico.richard@northhaven-ct.gov AND Susan Griffiths, Director of Library Services at sgriffiths@northhavenlibrary.net. All questions regarding the Bid Specifications and referred to as North Haven Memorial Library Renovations Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment, North Haven, Connecticut, Project #25-14, shall be submitted in writing and on or before 2:00 P.M. E.S.T. on Friday, February 14, 2025. No inquiries or questions will be accepted after 2:00 P.M. E.S.T. on Friday, February 14, 2025. If determined to be necessary or required, addenda will be issued to all bidders whose name is on file at the Finance Office as having obtained specifications. The Town will award a contract, if at all, to the lowest responsible, responsive, and qualified bidder whose bid, conforming with all the material terms and conditions of the invitation for bids, is the lowest in price.
