Site work and paving for a civil project in McDonald, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Connecticut Ave Resurfacing The project will consist of full depth reconstruction on the edges of the roadway section, installation of underdrain and connection to the existing storm sewer, and 2.0" of resurfacing to correct failures throughout the system on Connecticut Avenue (New Jersey Avenue to E. 7th Street). The work includes the reconstruction of existing roadway cross-slope to improve drainage characteristics along with the adjustment or reconstruction of the existing catch basins. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must state full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed in 30 calendar days from the notice to proceed. BID GUARANTY AND BONDS A Bid Guarantee Bond, a Contract Bond (Performance Bond), a Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond (Maintenance Bond shall be for 100% of the final Contract Amount) will be required by the Village. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES If, due to misconduct or neglect, the contractor fails to complete the contract on or before the completion dates specified in the proposal, the contractor agrees that each day the contract shall remain uncompleted after the dates, the owner may deduct the sum of five-hundred dollars ($500) per diem from the contract price. It is understood by the contractor and the owner that actual damages caused by failure of the contractor to complete this contract on time are impracticable or extremely difficult to evaluate and fix and that the per diem deduction from the contract price shall be retained by the owner as payment by the contractor of liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, for such failure.
