Site work and paving for a road / highway in McDonald, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project will consist of 2.0" of asphalt concrete resurfacing on W. 7th Street from McDonald Avenue to Ohio Avenue to correct failures throughout. The work includes the reconstruction of existing roadway cross-slope to improve drainage characteristics along with the adjustment or reconstruction of the existing catch basins and manholes that are in deteriorated and non-functional condition. Included as part of the project will be the construction of ADA compliant curb ramps as well as the replacement of a small section of concrete curb. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form must be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio. Each proposal must state the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The project must be completed within 30 calendar days from the notice to proceed. All contractors/subcontractors must, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor. Contractor compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 is required. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Trumbull County and the Village of McDonald as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce. No bidder will be considered competent or responsible or eligible to be awarded the contract if listed on the Auditor of State's database as having a "Finding of Recovery" as defined in O.R.C. 9.24. Bids must be submitted on provided forms, state the Unit Price or Lump Sum as indicated, and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with the project name and bidder contact details. The Village of McDonald reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities or irregularities in bidding.
